By creating an account, browsing listings, or completing a transaction on Faded Cotton, you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may not use our services.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into binding contracts to use Faded Cotton. By listing an item or placing a bid, you confirm you meet these requirements.

Faded Cotton provides a platform for collectors to buy and sell vintage apparel. We are not a party to transactions between buyers and sellers. We facilitate payments, escrow, and dispute resolution but do not own, inspect, or warrant the items sold on our platform.

As a seller, you agree to:

• List only items you own and have the right to sell.
• Provide accurate descriptions, photos, and condition reports.
• Ship sold items within 3 business days of payment.
• Accept that a flat $0.25 platform fee is deducted from your payout on each completed sale.

As a buyer, you agree to pay the listed price or winning bid, provide accurate shipping information, and confirm delivery once your item arrives. Funds held in escrow are released to the seller only after you confirm delivery (or after a 14-day window, if no dispute is filed).

Payments are processed through Stripe. Buyer funds are held in escrow until the item is delivered and confirmed. If a dispute is opened, payout is paused until resolution. Faded Cotton reserves the right to issue refunds or redirect funds based on dispute outcomes.

You may not list counterfeit, reproduced, or inauthentic items presented as genuine vintage. Other prohibited conduct includes:

• Shill bidding or bidding on your own listings.
• Harassment, hate speech, or abusive behavior toward other users.
• Listing items that are illegal or infringe on intellectual property.

Violations may result in listing removal, account suspension, or permanent bans.

Buyers and sellers are encouraged to resolve issues directly via in-app messaging. If a dispute is filed, Faded Cotton will review evidence from both parties and issue a ruling. Decisions are final and may include full or partial refunds, return shipping requirements, or fund release.

Our AI photo authentication and valuation tools provide estimates and confidence scores — they are not guarantees of authenticity or market value. Final authenticity determinations for disputed items are made by our review team. Sellers remain responsible for accurate representation of their items.

Faded Cotton is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from transactions on our platform. Our total liability is limited to the fees we collected on the transaction in question. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the platform.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or pose a risk to the community. You may close your account at any time, though outstanding transactions must be completed first.

We may update these Terms as our platform evolves. Material changes will be announced in-app; continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of California.
